Use the same dates, passenger count and baggage needs when comparing flights. A lower fare can become more expensive after luggage, seat selection or a long transfer is added.

Compare the complete itinerary

• Check the departure and arrival airports, local times and total journey time.
• Look at each connection. A self-transfer may require collecting baggage, checking in again and meeting the next flight’s deadline.
• Compare cabin and checked baggage rules for the exact fare, including any separate flights.
• Read the change, cancellation and refund terms before paying.

For a fair comparison, note the final total price in the same currency at the last payment step. If separate tickets are involved, check who is responsible if the first flight is delayed. Save the airline booking reference and review the confirmation for spelling and dates as soon as you receive it.
