Looking for a ferry rather than a cruise? Start with your route and travel date, then compare the operator’s current timetable, terminal, vehicle rules and total fare before you pay. Ferry bookings are completed on the provider’s website.
Tallinn and Helsinki
Three operators offer passenger trips between Tallinn and Helsinki. Check each operator’s live schedule and the departure terminal for your chosen sailing:
- Tallink Silja Line — ferry tickets and route information.
- Viking Line — Helsinki–Tallinn one-way booking.
- Eckerö Line — Tallinn–Helsinki tickets.
Ferries to Estonian islands
For Saaremaa and Muhu, travel between Virtsu and Kuivastu; for Hiiumaa, use Rohuküla–Heltermaa. Check live departures and book passenger or vehicle tickets at Praamid.ee. Muhu and Saaremaa are connected by a causeway.
Other islands have different ports and operators. For Kihnu, check the Munalaid–Kihnu service through Visit Kihnu’s travel information. For Vormsi and the Saaremaa–Hiiumaa crossing (Triigi–Sõru), check Kihnu Veeteed. For Ruhnu, check the current routes and tickets at Tuule Liinid. Island services can vary by season and weather, so confirm the port, departure and return trip before booking accommodation.
Other routes
For other crossings, Direct Ferries lets you search and compare routes and operators. You can also book directly with the ferry company you select. If you are travelling between Tallinn and Stockholm, see Tallink’s route page.
Before booking
Check the exact port and terminal, check-in cutoff, luggage and vehicle conditions, and cancellation terms. A foot-passenger ticket and a vehicle ticket may have different requirements. Confirm whether your sailing arrives on the same day or the next day, and allow time to get from the terminal to your next connection.
NORQENTA does not operate ferries or issue tickets on this page. Prices, schedules, payments and booking support are provided by the operator or booking platform you choose.
